Thanks Shira. I keep leaning from my bungalow- it keeps me honest when I have an impulsive urge to buy a pool table or whatnot.

Such a lovely ode to the bungalow. Hands down, the Santa Barbara bungalow I lived in for years remains a favorite!

I loved this and can relate on many levels. Mine is an East Cost 1970s shoebox bungalow. In winter it becomes half its size. But it's a block from the ocean and a block from a basin tributary; surrounded by water. The thing that makes the box tolerable, is Nobilis Faux Bois Wallpaper No PBS32 hung horizontally as per decorator friend, Tom Scheerer. It transformed the main living space and the shoebox suddenly became a true bungalow.
