I enjoyed reading this romantically written story about beach towns, their authentic simple motels and the charm of the old motel signs that established the character of the beach towns. I recently read an article in the NYT’s about the old neon signs that established NYC ‘s charm. Most have been replaced with LED’s. The old city vibe is fading. Should there be old sign museums ? Those that are romantics would think so.
Love a motor court
I similarly have a bungalow court obsession.
yeeeessssssss
Just Love 💗
That highway 17 is wild!!
Thank you Pedro!
The Oakley sunglasses . . . one word is worth a thousand pictures!
Did you have this genre of person in Massachusetts? It’s a whole universe of visuals.
Brilliant
Thank you Lorie!
Love this! I only sign of that era left in sb is blue skies. I couldn’t love it more. 💙
SB is so similar…. I see some old cottage motor courts left on Haley St. and in Old Town Goleta…. But yes it’s a dwindling typology….
That watercolor!
Thank you! I am thinking of making a small print run of it…
