SB is so similar…. I see some old cottage motor courts left on Haley St. and in Old Town Goleta…. But yes it’s a dwindling typology….

I enjoyed reading this romantically written story about beach towns, their authentic simple motels and the charm of the old motel signs that established the character of the beach towns. I recently read an article in the NYT’s about the old neon signs that established NYC ‘s charm. Most have been replaced with LED’s. The old city vibe is fading. Should there be old sign museums ? Those that are romantics would think so.
